A new report claims that the devs behind the upcoming action-adventure game, Marvel’s Avengers, took criticism surrounding popular heroic characters such as Thor to heart. Despite Black Widow still sporting squared-out features, it looks like the devs are attempting to keep their word on changing character models.
Last month, Marvel’s Avengers editorial director, Casey Lynch, said character model improvements are underway as seen with the recent Thor facial overhaul.
Lynch had this to say back in August of this year:
“जैसे-जैसे हम बेहतर होते जा रहे हैं, गेम के बारे में सब कुछ बदलता रहेगा, जैसे-जैसे हम अभी लॉन्च के करीब पहुंच रहे हैं, लेकिन जो चीजें हमने ई3 और यहां दोनों में दिखाई हैं, वे सभी प्री-अल्फा हैं। किरदारों से लेकर आप जो देखते हैं, उसमें हर चीज़ में बदलाव होंगे।''
In other words, characters will continue to look “better” as the devs get closer to launch. However, the team will not change character designs:

इन सब बातों के साथ, वेबसाइट GameRant reports that due to criticism Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montréal have gone back to the workbench to keep their word and change the characters to not resemble a sad parody of the MCU.

I’ll admit it, yours truly still isn’t a fan of this new Black Widow design. She is not soft in the face nor is her face rounded out to make her look attractive. If you look closely, all the devs did is add shadows with enhanced textures, but the square-man jaw remains, but hidden:
