July has been a barren month for new triple-A game releases as if it were a dry plant in the summer sun. However, with very little competition on the field, it looks like MachineGames and Bethesda Softworks’ वोल्फेंस्टीन: यंगब्लूड is going broke on PC via Steam.
Firstly, I should note that the websites used on this piece are solely connotative of actual stats of वोल्फेंस्टीन: यंगब्लूड — given that Zenimax and Bethesda will not hold public investor relations. In other words, Steam Charts and Steam Spy are reference points as guidance on how Youngblood is performing on PC via the Steam storefront.
यदि आप नहीं जानते हैं, Youngblood released on July 25th, 2019, across PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via the Bethesda storefront and Steam. On all platforms, the game has a retail price both digitally and physically of $29.99 — half of that of a standard triple-A game.
Despite the game jumping out of the gate on a list of platforms at a low price, according to both भाप चार्ट और स्टीम स्पाई the game is only able to accrue 4,000 to 6,000 players a day, a peak player count of 6,481, with a range of 20,000 through 50,000 owners.
If you don’t know, those above numbers are abysmal given that July has no hard hitters (big games in layman terms). As an additive, this is the “legendary” Wolfenstein series we’re talking about here. Sure Youngblood is a spin-off game, but that doesn’t justify the lack of stacking up against its predecessors on the same Steam tracking sites.
As a reference point, वोल्फेंस्टीन: द न्यू ऑर्डर released back on May 20th, 2014, with 11,808 peak players. The controversial वोल्फेंस्टीन 2: द न्यू कोललोसस released back on October 27th, 2017, with 16,050 peak players.

Sadly, we’ll never really know how Youngblood is performing on consoles unless retail stores have the game in bargain bins at low prices or the opposite. However it goes, the implementation of microtransactions in Youngblood looks to be the only feasible way to recoup any losses given that the game doesn’t look like a hard hitter (sales-wise), especially on PC via Steam.
