According to a translation from DualShockers, ईविल 7 निवासी only managed to ship 59% of its physical stock for the PS4, despite the fact that the game was the number one title on the charts, moving 187,306 copies.

निवासी ईविल 7 का performance was followed by the standard and limited edition of the visual novel Otome game Utano Prince-sama for the PlayStation Vita, showing that female gamers in Japan were pretty excited about the title.

The real telling part isn’t that ईविल 7 निवासी managed to top the charts in Japan, but that according to DualShockers the PS3 version of ईविल 6 निवासी debuted with 635,000 copies being sold in Japan alone. That shows a stark decline in sales and interest in the title in the land of the rising sun.

Either Japanese gamers just weren’t interested in a first-person horror game the way they were a third-person horror title, or the PS4 and Xbox One just don’t have much appeal to Japanese gamers this time around.

Capcom has been consistent in keeping the game patched and up to date, so we’ll see if things turn around for ईविल 7 निवासी in Japan as more DLC becomes available.
