For Christmas, fans of space simulators were treated to a new video for स्टार नागरिकों standalone single-player campaign known as स्क्वाड्रन 42. We get to see some of the locations you’ll be visiting and some of the enemies you’ll be facing off against.

It’s taken a long time to get the base technology for the game to match the vision that Chris Roberts had for स्क्वाड्रन 42, but we’re starting to see it all come to fruition.

The three minute video doesn’t contain any dialogue or spiffy cinematics. Instead it’s a look at the different locations throughout the universe of स्क्वाड्रन 42 that you’ll be visiting, as well as some of the NPCs that will be occupying those locations. You can check it out below.

The trailer isn’t really streamlined to show us anything in particular, other than that स्क्वाड्रन 42 will clearly be expansive and contain tons of different locations, ranging from frozen derelicts in space, to truck stops, to capital ships, to alien galaxies.

I do wonder if you’ll be able to hijack the alien ships, though?

किसी परिचित के लिए स्टार नागरिकों persistent universe, it’s possible to commandeer other NPC or player ships if you have the right amount of skill. But would the alien’s foreign tech require some kind of skill to learn how to fly their ships, similar to एक्स-कॉम?

It’s an interesting premise that sets the stage for a lot of possibilities depending on how things play out in the single-player campaign.

I’m sure they’ll eventually have you flying one of the enemy ships for either a stealth mission or infiltration ops.

We get to see what the alien villains look like as well as a brief look at how their ships will appear in the game.

If you don’t want any spoilers and would rather go in blind, then I don’t blame you for opting out of watching the trailer.

The teaser, however, also sets the stage for the upcoming beta release of स्क्वाड्रन 42. The full beta for the single-player won’t be ready until somewhere around July or September of 2020 next year. It would be really spiffy to get a glimpse at it during next year’s E3 with a trailer that contains a hard release date. The hype-machine would be through the roof.
