Sky 9 Games and Curve Digital announced that एक नाइट क्वेस्ट is currently available for the Xbox One, the Nintendo Switch, and the PlayStation 4. The game is a charming throwback to classic 3D adventure games from the yesteryears, such as द लीजेंड ऑफ ज़ेल्डा: ऑरकिना ऑफ द टाइम or जक व डकटर.

The game centers around a daring but danger-prone knight named Rusty who mistakenly frees an ancient evil while spelunking in an old cave. This forces Rusty to venture throughout the world of Regalia to restore peace, defeat the unleashed evil, and attempt to become a renown hero in the process.

The game feels like something straight out of 2002, and I say that with all the sincere adoration that the statement entails.

It’s a classic adventure game with a mixture of challenge-based platforming, hack-and-slash combat, environmental puzzle-solving, and a wide-range of unique skills to unlock and utilize throughout the adventure in order to progress toward the end.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the game. I think some of the darker areas are a little too dark. I would have raised the illumination a bit in the darker areas of the geometry and baked it into the level during the rendering pass instead of relying on proximity based light emitters, which work better for games with more realistic art-styles. But otherwise I think the game has a very charming look to it. The character has solid movements and animations, the combat looks passable, and the story is simple but effective.

This is like a callback to a time when developers made games to be fun and I can most certainly get behind that.
