पिलर्स ऑफ इटरनिटी II: डेडफ़ायर ने 1.1 घंटों में $22 मिलियन सुरक्षित किए

A lot of games still have a hard time these days securing more than $100,000 on Kickstarter due to the fact that there have been plenty of Kickstarter scams, games that fell short of expectations and games that ended up being far from what people thought they were financing, such as ताकतवर नहीं 9. Well, Obsidian’s अनंत काल द्वितीय के खंभे managed to accure $1.1 million through the Fig crowdfunding in just 22 hour.

Feargus Urquhart, CEO of Obsidian Entertainment commented in the press release about the 9,700 people who donated to the project, some of which who did so to get equity investing out of the ordeal, saying…

“We have the best fans in the world. It is amazing how quickly they helped us reach the funding goal for Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire . Our fans were responsible for the original game’s critical and financial success, and we are looking forward to doing it all over again with them for the sequel. For those who reserved Fig Game Shares, thank you for your trust in us and we look forward to having you share in the potential success of Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire together,”

Deadfire wasn’t much of a secret and was actually leaked ahead of its crowd-funding campaign, giving gamers ample room and heads-up about the upcoming sequel to the 2015 release of the original अनंत काल के खंभे, which went on to sell nearly 1 million copies.

The sequel features new and returning companions, the new Deadfire location to explore, all new dynamic weather that can play a role in the player’s experience, as well as enhanced visuals and gameplay mechanics.

Fig has been a controversial crowdfunding platform due to Tim Schafer’s involvement, someone who originally garnered millions in crowdfunding but failed to deliver on their projects both in content and in terms of timeliness. Quite naturally, some gamers questioned if Schafer couldn’t deliver on his own Kickstarter projects, what makes him a good fit to oversee another crowdfunding platform?

Making matters worse was Schafer’s comments during GDC 2015 denigrating minorities, women and those in the LGBTQ community regarding #GamerGate’s NotYourShield sub-section.

Now if you’re still okay with people feeling that way about their audience, then feel free to donate. Just keep in mind who’s in charge.

Plenty of gamers love अनंत काल के खंभे and Obsidian and have had no reservations about supporting the project then feel free to visit the Fig crowdfunding page to help contribute.
