It’s curious to hear about a sound design going into a game, but with visuals and combat looking competent to hear the sound design will match suit is positive. Let’s face it, some times the soundtracks are just there to fill the silence and they do an okay job of it. Other times the music transcends beyond being a mere set of tracks into a selling point of the game itself. Carving our way through the forces of Hell would not have been as sweet without the epic metal soundtrack playing during the carnage. Nor would the final fight with Slave Knight Gael have sent the Dark Souls franchise off on such a high note if it were not for the tracks.
